The midfield seems to be where the problem lies. When NYCFC isn't able to control the midfield, they're often left exposed on the counter. I feel like the coaching staff might need to consider deploying a more defensive midfielder to help shield the backline, especially against teams with quick attackers. Another thing I've noticed is their reliance on individual brilliance from players like Taty Castellanos or Thiago Andrade. While they can be game-changers, it seems like the team often looks lost if those players aren’t on their game.
